This week, campers will explore animals from around the world while celebrating the animals right here at the farm. Children will learn simple ways to greet our animals in different languages, explore country-themed sensory tables, and travel the globe through a fun obstacle course designed to encourage movement and discovery. Campers will visit a tree house safari station, dig and play at our global mud café, and create textured maps of the world using a variety of hands-on materials.  Each child will receive their own camp passport, earning a stamp for each region and activity they visit throughout the week.

Campers will engage in dramatic play through a farmer’s market and other community role-play stations and participate in a Community Helper Obstacle Course designed to encourage movement, teamwork, and confidence as they complete helper-themed challenges.

During this week and throughout camp, children will have opportunities to learn from real-life community helpers who visit to talk with campers about their jobs, safety, and how they help others, including regular visits from the Longwood Fire Company.
